Research Project
Research on the Role of Scientists and Scientific Systems in Promoting Global Distributive Justice
- Project Leader: SHINPUKU Yoko
- Professor, Hiroshima University
We will form a cross-disciplinary network of early- to mid-career researchers to examine the role of scientists and the scientific system—with an emphasis on making it more inclusive, equitable, and fair—from the perspective of distributive justice. This network aims to enable the younger generation of researchers to participate in such discussions and improve their skills for international activities. We will explore recent trends concerning distributive justice through literature reviews, surveys (interviews) with participants at international conferences, and by organizing parallel events during these conferences to foster discussion. The cumulative results of these discussions will be compiled and published as academic papers.
