Research Project
Dialogue Platform and Value Synthesis for AI-Integrated Society
- Project Leader: Arisa EMA
- Assistant Professor, The University of Tokyo,
The rise of Artificial Intelligence related issues calls for urgent dialogue on its social implications. This project will combine three groups with different expertise: (1) ELSI research group from social sciences and humanities, (2) AI social application research group from AI researchers, and (3) dialogue design group from STS and science communication researchers. We aim to construct an interdisciplinary and bottom-up platform that will remain free of the biases created by the profit motive (business) or policy predispositions. In addition, by building agendas and a future vision of AI through interdisciplinary dialogue, the project aims to propose normative, ethical and institutional values regarding developments in AI technologies.
