"Evolutionary Origins of Human Mind"

Remarks from Participants

Q1. What was good for you?

  • This was a fascinating and stimulating conference. The choice of eminent scientists from wide range of disciplines that were diverse get provided a good synthesis, was excellent. I really enjoyed hearing of the talks and leave the conference with fresh ideas. Keep up the good work!
  • The various topics were very attractive. They inspire a lot new direction of my research. Long enough time for discussion is also good for closer communication.I appreciate the organizer’s effort to gather wonderful researchers and to organize fruitful conference.
  • I found this is a very stimulating meeting with enough in my own area to satisfy me and enough outside my own area to stimulate thinking and give new ideas. All lectures were well-prepared by experts, no low or dull points or sessions. There was enough time for discussion, and Q&A was quite informative. I enjoyed much the robot/android session, which I found eye-opening. I also had great discussions with many colleagues, young & old. So, all in all I found it a great, productive meeting, and I took many notes. Thanks!
  • This meeting was so fascinating. I can follow so many field related to behavior, and this stimulation is surely improve my future plan of my research.
  • The conference provided a unique and memorable perspective on human cognition. Seldom do world leaders in the fields of primatology and brain science gather together to focus on a topic as profound and interesting as the evolutionary origins of the human mind. The seamless organization of the conference, combined with the enthusiastic participation of the discussants, created an atmosphere that was at the same time scientifically rigorous and thoroughly enjoyable.
  • I enjoyed a lot the conference, specially the variety of topics and research fields presented. The high quality of the speakers was very stimulating. I also liked a lot the effort of some speakers presenting unpublished data, something not so common in regular meetings. Another thing that I liked was the small size of the conference, which gave me the opportunity of talk with most of the speakers and participants.
  • I learned new topics which was not my major. This made me rethink about the meaning about the researching of may work very well.
  • Punctual, Well-Organized. Thanks to the administration staffs and the hospitality.
  • Q2. Any suggestion to make the next conference better.

  • 3 hours blocks without break- too long. 2 blocks better. No general discussion at end of each session.
  • Schedule was too tight, and it was tough for me to keep sitting without any rests.
  • Time for poster presentation was short(for poster presenters). It was good if poster could hang throughout the conference.
  • It would be ideal if everyone could stay at the same place.
